We hit a bump in the street once we chose a shot when we endorsed the Boston Red Sox against the San Diego Padres underdog. The match was a really competitive one, and pitcher lasted long. The sixth inning turned to both bullpens this match, and the’pens did an fantastic job of shutting down the lineup.
Both teams struggled to hit the ball, along with the Padres three-run first inning was enough to hang onto the triumph, finally taking the match, 3-1. What can you really do when you are as sexy as we’ve been in the previous two weeks, winning at north of 80% of our stakes, you’re going to drop a match here and there. We will not let it bother us though as for the pick we will head to the Rocky Mountains where the Atlanta Braves are hosted by the Colorado Rockies.
The Atlanta Braves are trying to stay hot tonight since they swing from Colorado to get a fast one-game makeup match with the Rockies. This match will finish out the season set for Braves and also the Rockies that started in April and has been rained out. Yesterday, as they played in New York City against the Mets the Braves are going to have a really tight turnaround.
But nothing can slow this Braves team right down now as they’ve won eight straight games, including back to back sweeps over Marlins and the Mets. Atlanta has yet to get rid of a series in August, and they’ve done a wonderful job of beating teams that are good because they have recent show wins on the Los Angeles Dodgers along with the Minnesota Twins. Together with the makeup match the Braves have been in the midst of a grueling twenty-six game in times stretch.
For the Rockies, their period has turned to disappointment. They came to the year seeking to compete with the Dodgers for the NL West Division crown; instead, they are in last place, a whopping twenty-seven and a half games back of LA.. And things are getting worse as the season winds down to the Rockies as they’ve dropped out six of their last seven matches and that comes on the heels of losing eight from their first ten games on the month.
Beginning for the Braves is currently Julio Teheran (8-8 3.53 ERA), and for the Rockies it’s Tim Melville (1-0 1.29 ERA). The game complete over-under is placed at thirteen runs. The Braves are -143 street favorites. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 PM PST out of Coors Field in Colorado.
Julio Teheran has been very good. In July he had a 1.48 ERA in six starts, and the Braves moved 5-1. Here in August, he had one outing against a Mets group, but in his three startshe has been leading. In his last outing, he tossed seven shutout innings against the Marlins. Two starts before that, he continued seven innings again, allowing just one earned run the Braves won both matches.
Teheran has done a terrific job of giving his staff a opportunity to win every night outside, and Atlanta includes a 14-6 record in his final twenty five begins after going 3-4 in his first seven starts of the year. Teheran has allowed two runs or less. Regardless of the lineup obtaining the enormous benefit of playing with their home games in Coors Field, they have been swinging an extremely fair bat as of late since they are fifteenth from the majors in runs scored in August.
Tim Melville will be the kind of guy when all hope has been lost by your entire year, you simply start. This man has pitched just seven games in his big-league profession, heading back to 2016. The Rockies have opted to provide a shot to pitch the remainder of the way outside to the twenty-nine-year-old and with their turning in tatters and their season , found him playing at the Atlantic League this season. No team would allow a man like Melville to pitch innings that is meaningful.
Normally I would be hesitant to back a group that has been made to play with also this travel and this many games. But I am reminded the oldest man on this Braves team is similar to year’s old and that this set of youngsters will not have any trouble staying. I have a feeling that they will love hitting in the rarefied atmosphere of Coors Field, and it would not surprise me at all to watch them struck a guy like Melville against double-digits runs on the mound.
In the Braves two matches this season at Coors Fieldthey scored a fifteen runs. I expect a similar level of tonight. And with Teheran pitching well right now, I see that this game being a blowout. So, obviously, the Braves are the negative. Along with the -143 number is not a poor one, and that I really do see value in choosing the Braves.
But when I look at the price line, it appears to offer even more value. As a half and that operate , can be tough to pay for, I’m very careful of run line bets. However, the run lineup is tailor-made for situations such as this . Where you’ve got one team that can not shed and is currently directing their division. And another team, that can be out of contention and can’t find ways to win.
The game total for this is a sky-high thirteen runs, also that I don’t find the Rockies scoring of those runs. I see today Atlanta winning, and winning large in Colorado. Should you ask me, feels like a 9-2 score. So, I will take a little bit of a bet and put a half along with that streak and pursue the payout tonight. Give me that the Atlanta Braves on the line at -107 now from Coors Field!
