In-form Marcus Forss netted a hat-trick to fire AFC Wimbledon to a 4-1 win at fellow strugglers Southend.
The on-loan Brentford has now scored seven goals in six Sky Bet League One matches.
Along with the 20-year-old took just five minutes as he fired home a preoccupied taken from 12 yards to start the scoring in Roots Hall.
Six minutes after, Forss scored his second objective of the match.
Southend replied with Timothee Dieng heading residence Nathan Ralphs left-wing cross, however, the Shrimpers were unable to find an equaliser.
Wimbledon also made it 3-1 from the 52nd minute, together with Forss slamming home a penalty after Ryan Delaney had been brought down by Rob Kiernan and hit back after the break.
The Dons remained on the top and extended their lead in the 72nd minute, when Ryan Delaney headed home Max Sanders corner to seal the Dons first away win of the season.
