In-form Marcus Forss netted a hat-trick to flame AFC Wimbledon into a 4-1 win at fellow strugglers Southend.
The Brentford forwards has scored seven goals in six Sky Bet League One matches.
And the 20-year-old took just five minutes to start the scoring since he fired a preoccupied taken.
Six minutes after, Forss scored his second objective of the match, netting from close range following a goalmouth scramble.
Southend responded instantly, with Timothee Dieng heading residence Nathan Ralph cross, but the Shrimpers were unable to find an equaliser in their very best spell of the game.
Wimbledon hit back after the break and also made it 3-1 in the 52nd minute after Rob Kiernan had brought down Ryan Delaney.
The Dons stayed on the top and extended his lead in the 72nd minute, when Ryan Delaney headed home Max Sanders corner to seal the Dons first away win of the year.
