His mum and england all-rounder Ben Stokes have launched legal action against sunlight newspaper after it printed a front-page story reporting from over three years ago.
The cricketer lambasted the newspaper when it printedextremely painful, sensitive and personal information around his family , condemning it asutterly disgusting.
Proceedings at the High Court were filed in September 30, according to Byline Investigates, on News Group Newspapers (NGN) – The Suns parent firm.
The case is listed as an intellectual property claim.
A representative of this Sun declined to comment.
The story on September 17 worried a family tragedy involving the 28-year-olds mom, Deborah Stokes.
In a post on Twitter – which received tens of thousands of retweets, enjoys and encouraging remarks – Stokes reported a reporter was turned up in his parents house in New Zealandout of the blue to ask them about the tragedy.
The Sun replied that it had contacted Stokes prior to printing the report andat no stage did he or his representatives ask us to not publish the story.
It noted the couple along with the cricketer had dropped to comment.
